The rate for your your stay will be confirmed upon booking, and will not change thereafter. However we do reserve the right to review our rates at any time, and they may increase or decrease accordingly.

Guaranteed Reservations and Deposits

Upon booking, all credit card and cardholder details are required to make a reservation. This includes card number, the 3 or 4 digit CVV2 number, cardholder name, billing address and card validity.

Depending on the dates of your reservation, a credit card deposit is required to guarantee your booking:

  • Peak Season: full payment for your reservation will be charged to the guaranteed credit   card 10 days prior to arrival.

  • Shoulder / High Season: a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total reservation will be charged to the guaranteed credit card 20 days prior to arrival.

We reserve the right to cancel bookings if the issuer declines the card used for the guarantee.

The following cards are accepted:

  •  American Express

  • MasterCard

  • Visa

  •  Diners

Cancellation Policy

If you cancel more than 10 days prior to arrival you’ll receive a full refund. If it’s less than 10 days before arrival, the deposit is non-refundable and one additional night’s stay will be charged for every three night’s booked. If you cancel on the day of arrival, don’t arrive or depart prior to the scheduled departure date, you will be charged 50% of the balance of your bill.

Arrival and Check-in

Check-in time is from 14:00 on the day of arrival. If you arrive prior to this, your room may not be ready, and we may not be able to accommodate you. Early check-ins need to be prearranged, and are free after 08:00, but if it’s earlier than that there will be a surcharge of 100% of the room rate. So if this is the case, we recommend reserving for the previous night.

Front desk is off duty between 23:00 and 06:00, so if you’re planning to check-in after 23:00 then please prearrange it with us, and please do so before 20:00. If you don’t then we may need to re-let the room and charged your credit card with the full cost of the room.


Checkout time is 11:00 on the day of departure, unless otherwise arranged. Your invoice for any additional services enjoyed during your stay is payable on departure. This will include any mini bar and refreshments consumed during your stay.

Late checkouts can be prearranged, but will be charged for:

  • 12:00 – 14:00: 30% of room rate

  • 14:00 – 18:00: 50% of room rate

  • 18:00 onwards: 100% of room rate

If you are definitely checking out after 18:00 then we recommend reserving an additional night. If you choose not to, you are welcome to a seat in our reception area where we will gladly store your bags and provide you with hot towels and refreshments.


When checking in, you will be asked to register. This legal requirement applies to all guests under The Immigration (Hotel Records) Order 1972 (as amended), and is a prerequisite for occupation of a hotel room. Anyone cohabiting your room will also be required to register. Please note that rooms can accommodate a maximum of two guests. We will also need to make a note of your car registration.


On check-in you will be issued with one set of keys and fobs for your hotel room. If these are not returned on check out, or lost, you will be charged R1 050.00 to cover the cost of replacing them.


If you or any member of your party has any mobility problems please notify us of any special requirements upon booking. The hotel has no ground floor rooms, but there is a lift that services every floor. Whilst we will do everything to accommodate your needs, we accept no responsibility for your accommodation being unsuitable if these needs were not communicated to us prior to arrival.


There is free on-site parking for guests. Kindly take note of the parking signs in the car park and park at the side of the hotel to ensure that there is adequate space for everyone. Please avoid parking at the front of the hotel. Note that cars are parked at your own risk, and we do not accept responsibility for any loss of or theft from a vehicle however it is caused.


Children over the age of 12 are welcome, but not all of our rooms cater for them, so please enquire first. Children must be supervised at all times during their stay. Regretfully, we don’t accommodate pets.


Our hotel is in a historical building, and as with any old space the creaks and groans are amplified. We ask you to please be sensitive to this and try to tread lightly. Please also be tolerant. But if you want to block it all out, there are noise-cancelling earplugs in every room
